It is unfortunate that the O’Reilly Factor stooped to making up comments to besmirch the reputation of FreeRepublic.com in order to appear ‘fair and balanced’ in its campaign against the Daily Kos.

Bill O'Reilly twisted the truth to rile people up? Heavens! This is unprecedented. I believe I must retire to my fainting couch, forthwith!

Well, what smacks of irony is I have personally seen comment of that exact type (maybe not word-for-word, but along those same lines) with my own eyes on FreeRepublic. So essentially, Billy O can lie all he wants about the opposition, but if he tells the truth about their side, he's persona non grata.

Yeah, I've reached a place where nothing he says can tick me off. It's just sort of amusing to see him actually tell the truth for once and cause his main supporters to turn on him. Poetic justice.
